{"id":7770,"date":"2023-03-13T13:51:49","date_gmt":"2023-03-13T20:51:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/raisingspecialkids.net\/?p=7770"},"modified":"2023-03-15T14:52:06","modified_gmt":"2023-03-15T21:52:06","slug":"important-changes-coming-to-ahcccs-and-kidscare-eligibility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/raisingspecialkids.net\/es\/2023\/03\/13\/important-changes-coming-to-ahcccs-and-kidscare-eligibility\/","title":{"rendered":"Important Changes Coming to AHCCCS and KidsCare Eligibility"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>From the Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services 2023<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you or a family member currently have health coverage through AHCCCS, Arizona&#8217;s Medicaid program, or KidsCare, Arizona&#8217;s Children&#8217;s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)? If so, you may need to take steps to find out if you can continue your coverage. Soon, states will resume AHCCCS and KidsCare eligibility reviews. This means some people could be disenrolled from those programs. However, they may be eligible to buy a health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace\u00ae, and get help paying for it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some things you can do to prepare:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Make sure your address is up to date<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p> Make sure your state has your current mailing address, phone number, email, or other contact information. This way, they\u2019ll be able to contact you about your AHCCCS or KidsCare coverage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check your mail <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Your state will mail you a letter about your AHCCCS or KidsCare coverage. This letter will also let you know if you need to complete a renewal form to see if you still qualify. If you get a renewal form, fill it out and return it to your state right away. This may help you avoid a gap in your coverage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What if you don\u2019t qualify for Medicaid or CHIP? <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>If you or a family member no longer qualify for AHCCCS or KidsCare, you may be able to buy a health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace\u00ae. Marketplace plans are: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Affordable.<\/strong> 4 out of 5 enrollees can find plans that cost less than $10 a month.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Comprehensive.<\/strong> Most plans cover things like prescription drugs, doctor visits, urgent care, hospital visits, and more. Visit HealthCare.gov to find Marketplace plans and see if you might save on premiums. When you apply, don\u2019t forget to include current information about your household, income, and your state\u2019s recent decision about your AHCCCS or KidsCare coverage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get more information<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contact your state <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.azahcccs.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Medicaid office<\/a> or visit <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/medicaid.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Medicaid.gov<\/a> for more information about AHCCC\/Medicaid or KidsCare renewal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Call the Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2596 to get details about Marketplace coverage.
