Through the Refugee & Asylee Mentorship Program, Raising Special Kids provides culturally appropriate supports and services to educate and empower refugee and asylee families. We provide them with the information and tools they need to understand the nature of their child\u2019s disability, work collaboratively with professionals in the education and treatment of their child, and advocate effectively in the best interest of their child to support positive educational and health outcomes, particularly as a result of and during the COVID-19 crisis. RAMP also seeks to decrease social isolation for refugee and asylee families with children with disabilities through direct parent-to-parent support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
